My Avenger

It’s easier to thrive on hate,
Because love is harder to find,
And while the Nation mourns a loss
We continue to be blind,
It is not for fear of flying
That I live in fear each day,
But for the morals that are dying,
While circumstance comes into play,
I remember so clearly,
The day the pillars crumbled,
How a nation so majestic,
Fell so quickly to be humbled,
But on its high and mighty horse,
It rose as tragedy’s avenger,
Galloping into the endless night,
Showing no signs of surrender,
So wipe your tears and fear no more,
My young widow all is right,
For the horse has set its course,
And will in time avenge my life.

Invisible

no one sees us
no one can hear us
a dark figure that walks
a figure that moves

unnoticed by all
yet here we are
silent as the black
and yet we are everywhere you go

we're always with
no matter what
no matter where
we will be there

what are we
we are the shadow
forever bound to you
and never will we leave
